Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew on the nose with the grey yarn. The increases should be positioned towards the upper and the lower side, the nose is an oval. The Magic circle is the start: the first stitch goes 3 rows up. From this point, you make a ‘fan’ approx. 5 sc wide. Sew the white nuzzle to the head, right below round 14. Fill the nuzzle a little bit before you close.
Dress:
Picture 1: Fold the strip of chiffon on the length. Put the first strip 3 rounds under the change of color and sew the rim of the strip with a few stitches onto the body. The ‘open’ part is on the lower side. Continue with each fold and sew them to the body.
Picture 2: Take the second strip and start directly under the change of color. Proceed as with the first strip. As the body is decreasing towards the upper part, you will probably not need the full 90 cm. Cut the rest off.
Sew the white lace ribbon directly on the upper rim of the dress.
Crown:
Cut a crown out of the yellow wool felt. You can also use common felt but it will not be as firm and can tear easily. Check the picture to see how I have done the shape. You can make longer tips, this is only an assistance. My crown is 7 cm long and 3 cm wide. Cut, close it to a circle (slightly overlapping) and sew the ends together. You eventually need to adjust the tips where both parts meet
Assembling:
• Sew the head onto the body
• Sew the ears onto the head, starting 5 rounds from the MR to either side oft he head
• Stitch the brows (as shown on the pictures)
• Sew the arms onto the body, directly under the rim of the neck, on the sides of the body. Make sure that the decreases on round 8 are showing towards the front. I have bent the arms a little bit, sot hey do not hang down on the body but are slightly bended to the front.
• Sew the crown onto the head, between the two ears.
Done! Your Holly is ready! Lots of fun with your bear princess! I am looking forward to your pictures on Instagram. Please use #hollythelittlebear and the link @amalou.designs so I can find you.
