What does amigurumi means?
The word Amigurumi comes from Japanese. The Japanese call handicrafts knitted with crochet and needle as Ami. The Japanese call the toys that are filled with objects such as fibers or cotton as Nuigurumi. The word Amigurumi is derived as a combination of these two words.

I want to give you some informations about this pattern;

Finished size: 10.5 tall
Materials
– #4 Medium / Worsted weight
I used
– I used 1 skein of Ice Yarn Lorena Worsted – Cafe Latte (55% Cotton, 45% Acrylic, 100g = 174 yds/160 m)
– Approx 100 yds of dark brown worsted weight cotton blend yarn
– US H-8 (5mm) crochet hook
– Safety eyes (12 mm)
– Fiberfil
– Stitch markers and pins
– Tapestry needle for weaving ends
Gauge: 15 sc x 15 rows = (4” x 4”) with US H-8 (5mm) crochet hook.
Abbreviations
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
st = stitch
ch-() sp = chain-(number of chain) space
sk = skip
beg = beginning
- to ; = work instructions within brackets as many times as directed
[] = work instructions within brackets as many times as directed
sc inc = 2 sc in one st
sc dec = crochet 2 sc together (Insert the hook and draw up a loop in each of 2 stitches, yarn over, pull back through all 3 loops on hook at once)

Notes:
Do not join after each round.
Always attach the stitch markers on first st in each round.

Head
With light brown
Round 1: 6 sc into the adjustable ring. (6 sts)
Round 2: 2 sc inc around. (12 sts)
Round 3: [sc inc, 1 sc] 6 times. (18 sts)
Round 4: [sc inc, 2 sc] 6 times. (24 sts)
Round 5: [sc inc, 3 sc] 6 times. (30 sts)
Round 6: [sc inc, 4 sc] 6 times. (36 sts)
Round 7 to 11: sc in each st around.
Round 12: [sc dec, 4 sc] 6 times. (30 sts)
Insert the safety eyes between 8 and 9 rounds. About 7 stitches apart.

Round 13: [sc dec, 3 sc] 6 times. (24 sts)
Round 14: [sc dec, 2 sc] 6 times. (18 sts)
Begin stuffing firmly but not tightly
Round 15: [sc dec, 1 sc] 6 times. (12 sts)
Round 16: [sc dec] 6 times. (6 sts) Add more fiberfill. Fasten off and cut the yarn leaving about 12″ long yarn tail. Close the head using a tapestry needle and yarn tail. (weave through the stitches around the last round and pull tightly to close, Tie a knot)
Muzzle
With light brown, ch 4
Round 1: 3sc in 2nd ch from the hook, sc in next ch, 3 sc in last ch, working on opposite side of the foundation chain, sc in next ch. (8 sts)
Round 2: 2 sc in each of next 3 st, 1 st in next st, 2 sc in each of next 3 st, 1 st in next st. (14 sts)
Round 3 and 4: sc in each st around. (14 sts) Fasten off and cut the yarn leaving about 12″ long yarn tail. Embroider triangular nose with dark brown color yarn.

Ears (make 2)
With dark brown,
Round 1: 8 sc into the adjustable ring. (8 sts)
Round 2: sc inc in each st around. (16 sts)
Round 3 to 5: sc in each st around. (16 sts)
Round 6: [sc dec, 2 st] 4 times. (12 sts)
Round 7 to 9: sc in each st around. (12 sts)
Round 10: [sc dec, 1 st] 4 times. (8 sts)
Round 11 to 13: sc in each st around. (8 sts) Fasten off and cut the yarn leaving about 15″ long yarn tail. Sew and close the open with the yarn tail.
Assembly (face)
Don’t forget to pin each piece before sewing to the body part.
Add fiberfill little bit to the muzzle. Sew muzzle at round 9, just below the eyes. (see the photo below)
Sew ears on each side. Between rounds 5 & 6. (see the photo below)

With light brown
Round 1: 6 sc into the adjustable ring. (6 sts)
Round 2: sc inc around. (12 sts)
Round 3: [sc inc, 1 sc] 6 times. (18 sts)
Round 4: [sc inc, 2 sc] 6 times. (24 sts)
Round 5: [sc inc, 3 sc] 6 times. (30 sts)

Hands (make 2)

Round 8 to 19: sc in each st around. (12 sts) Fasten off and cut the yarn leaving about 12″ long yarn tail. Stuff arms lightly till 3/4. Sew the open with the yarn tail.

With dark brown,

Round 11 to 19: sc in each st around. (14 sts) Fasten off and cut the yarn leaving about 12″ long yarn tail. Stuff legs lightly till 3/4. Sew the open with the yarn tail.
Tail
Round 1: 6 sc into the adjustable ring. (6 sts)
Round 2 to 4: sc in each st around. (6 sts)
Round 5: [sc inc, 1 sc] 3 times. (9 sts)
Round 6 to 7: sc in each st around. (9 sts)
Round 8: 1 sc, 4 hdc in each of next st, 1 sc. (6 sts) Fasten off and cut the yarn leaving about 12″ long yarn tail.


Assembly
With yarn tail, sew arms onto the last round of the body (see the photo above).
Sew the head to the body top including arms.
Sew the legs between rounds 5 and 7 on each side of the bottom of the body.
