What does amigurumi means?
The word Amigurumi comes from Japanese. The Japanese call handicrafts knitted with crochet and needle as Ami. The Japanese call the toys that are filled with objects such as fibers or cotton as Nuigurumi. The word Amigurumi is derived as a combination of these two words.

I want to give you some informations about this pattern;

Size:
16 inches from foot to top of head with weight 4 yarn and a 3.25 mm hook

Skill Level Needed:
Intermediate- suitable for novice crocheters, requires patience and precisions when assembling
the peacock and basic crochet skills.

Materials Needed:
Red Heart Royal Blue, Red Heart Green, Red Heart Light Gray, Red Heart Daffodil, Red Heart

Hook Size: D Hook or 3.25 mm
15 mm blue safety eyes
Scissors, sewing needle, stitch marker, fiberfill stuffing
Rhinestones(optional), false eyelashes(optional)

mr= magic ring- crochet single crochet stitches in to the
adjustable loop BLO= back loops only
ch= chain stitch inc3= make 3 sc in same stitch
sc= single crochet stitch
sl= slip stitch
dc= double crochet stitch
inc= increase- make two single crochet stitches in the same stitch
dec=decrease- crochet two stitches together using the decrease method

Notes:
• Do not join rounds unless stated, work in a continuous spiral
• Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round

Now for the eyes. Stuff the head well.
Cut a long piece of yarn and remove the eyes.
Place the needle in the holes where the eyes were.
Now thread the needle and in a hole next to the eye

Head Continued:
Hole, go back and forth between the two eye holes.
Pull slightly on the yarn after going through each hole.
Do this about 3 times on each side until you reach the look

Assembly
Head and Body:

Pin the head and body together for extra support.
Sew the head onto the body

Then wrap some of the long tail around the bottom in a circular motion.
Pin the tip onto the head and sew into place. After you have sewn some, wrap the tail around a few more times and sew on to be sturdy.

Wings:

Pin the wings onto the side of the body.
Sew the wings onto the body

Legs:

Turn the body upside down with the nose facing away from you.
Pin the legs onto the body and sew on.

Embellishments:

you can glue on some rhinestones around the eyes if you want. But if you use rhinestones, remember that this is best for older children. The rhinestones are not suitable for children under 3.

For the eyelashes, you will need some false eyelashes and maybe some eyelash glue to hold them in place. Can be purchased at a local drug store. You might need to cut them to size to fit such a small eye. Just cut a little at a time until you reach the desired look. This will be tricky to glue them on but just be careful when applying.
