The word Amigurumi comes from Japanese. The Japanese call handicrafts knitted with crochet and needle as Ami. The Japanese call the toys that are filled with objects such as fibers or cotton as Nuigurumi. The word Amigurumi is derived as a combination of these two words.

Head And Body
Using 3.25mm dpns and yarn D, cast on six sts and divide evenly over three needles, join in the rnd taking care not to twist sts
Rnd 1: (kfb) to end. 12 sts
Rnd 2: (kl, kfb) to end. 18 sts
Rnd 3: (k2, kfb) to end. 24 sts
Rnd 4: (k3, kfb) to end. 30 sts IK 22 rnds

To make up
Sew a line of running stitch around neck and pull slightly to create shaping. Stitch Leg and Arm seams, adding a little stuffing to Legs as you go. Sew limbs in place. Stitch leg and crotch seams on Shorts and pull on to Zombie, securing with a stitch at back. Sew side seams on Waistcoat, do not weave in ends. Using yarn A, embroider scar on tummy and face.
Attach one button to face for eye. Make a short crochet chain or a plait using yarn A, cut yarn leaving a tail.
Thread tail through a second button and then through loop at top of crochet chain or plait. Fasten off. Attach other end of chain to Head to make a dangling eye.
