What does amigurumi means?
The word Amigurumi comes from Japanese. The Japanese call handicrafts knitted with crochet and needle as Ami. The Japanese call the toys that are filled with objects such as fibers or cotton as Nuigurumi. The word Amigurumi is derived as a combination of these two words.

Torso (emerald, yellow, lilac):
We start to knit in emerald color
1 p: 6 sc in the amigurumi ring
2 p: 6 PR = 12 sc
3 p: (PR, 1 sc) * 6 = 18 sc () * 6 – repeat 6 times
4 p: (2 PRS, OL) * 6 = 24 PRS
5 p: (PR, 3 RLS) * 6 = 30 RLS
6-11 RR: 30 PRS
12 p: (UB, 8 sc) * 3 = 27 sc
13 p: 27 PRS
14 p: 4 sc, (UB, 7 sc) * 2, UB, 2 sc, SS = 24
Cut the thread, fix it. We continue to knit in yellow.
We knit the 15th row with embossed front columns.
15 p: 24 relief. persons. Sc
We pull out the last loop longer so that it does not get lost, we do not break the thread,
leave before knitting. We continue to knit in lilac color.
16 p: behind the back wall of the yellow row (6 sc, UB) * 3 = 21 sc
17 R: 21 PRS
Pull out the last loop again, while leaving the purple thread.
We make the strapping yellow: for the remaining
yellow front walls 23 sc, the last 24th
we knit a SS and do not fasten the thread, but
cut off and take out the tip. Then we remove
it through the next column inside knitting and
we fix it there.
We continue to knit with lilac thread
18-20 RR: 21 PRS
We stuff the torso
21 p: (UB, 1 sc) * 7 = 14 sc
22 p: 7 UB = 7 PRS
Finish the packing, cut the thread and tighten
Hole
To make a decrease in the PRSP 3in1, we collect all three half-columns with a crochet on the hook,
we knit them all together at a time and tighten them harder (but neatly), otherwise in this
a hole is formed
6 p: 12 sc
Then we knit all the legs in different ways.
Right back:
7 p: 11 sc, ss, cut the thread, fasten.
We pass to the lilac color. To tie a paw, we need two strands of lilac
colors. You can pull the other end out of the middle of the ball if this is difficult,
we rewind a small amount in advance into a separate ball (there are no knots inside the toy
can be seen, so we use the leftovers later).
We knit the first row when changing color on all legs with embossed front columns
We count from the place where we finished, forward
(in the course of knitting) 3 columns, between the 3rd and 4th
we attach a lilac thread, we make a VP,
to raise the column – this is the first column
next row.
8 p: 12 relief persons. Sc
9-13 RR: 12 PRS
Additional rows that we will do next should be on the sides. Density
knitting patterns may vary, so it’s best to make sure you get it that way.
Pull the loop longer so as not to
lost. We count forward (along the
knitting) 4 columns, we attach to the 5th
the second thread (from another ball), we knit,
starting from the next one after the accession
column 2 sc, ss
we cut the thread, but do not fix it, but simply
take out the tip.
We count from the place of the first connection
back 1 more column, to the 2nd again
we attach a thread from another ball, we knit
6 RLS, SS, pull out the tip of the thread again.
Let’s go back to the deferred main thread.
14 p: 12 RLS, SS, cut the thread, leaving the end for sewing, fix.
Tie the ends inside the paw with knots
secondary thread (among themselves the initial
and final among themselves)
Right front:
The front legs are distinguished by the fact that the color change occurs a row later.
7 p: 12 sc
8 p: 11 sc, ss, cut the thread, fasten.
We count from the place where we finished, forward (in the course of knitting) 3 columns, between the 3rd and 4th
we attach a lilac thread.
9 p: 12 relief persons. Sc
From the 10th row to the end, we knit everything according to the description of the right hind leg.
Left (back):
We count from the place where we finished the white
part, 3 columns, but already back (against the move
knitting), between the 3rd and 4th we attach
lilac thread.
8 p: 12 relief persons. Sc
9-13 RR: 12 PRS
Pull the loop so that it does not get lost. We count forward (in the course of knitting) 4 columns,
to the 5th we attach the second thread, knit 2 sc, ss, cut the thread, pull out the tip.
From the place of the first connection, we count back 1 column, to the 2nd we attach a thread from
another ball, knit 6 RLS, SS, pull out the end of the thread again.
14 p: 12 RLS, SS, cut the thread, leaving the end for sewing, fix.
Left front:
7 p: 12 sc
8 p: 11 sc, ss, cut the thread, fasten.
We count from the place where we finished the white part, back 3 columns, between the 3rd and 4th
we attach a lilac thread.
9 p: 12 relief persons. Sc
From the 10th row to the end, we knit everything according to
the description of the left hind foot.
We stuff and sew on the paws. Don’t forget
that on the front “toe” is higher. More
high side part when sewing on
pull up higher on the torso, otherwise at
paws will be an ugly bump.
Sewing not completely, we feed the paw
more tightly, then we finish sewing.
Four paws are not always sewn well,
so after sewing on the last paw
We are not in a hurry to break the thread, the rest can be
pull the paws in the right place, which
hang
We sew with a yellow thread with a chain stitch
the front legs in a circle at the sewing site.
We make a seam along the body, but close to
paw.
Tail (lilac):
1 p: 5 sc in amigurumi ring
2 p: PR, 4 sc = 6 sc
3 p: (2 PRS, OL) * 2 = 8 PRS
4 p: (PR, 3 RLS) * 2 = 10 RLS
5 p: 3 RLS, PR, 4 RLS, PR, 1 RLS = 12 RLS
6 p: (PR, 3 RLS) * 3 = 15 RLS
7-8 RR: 15 PRS
9 p: (3 sc, dec) * 3 = 12 sc
10 p: 12 sc
11 p: (UB, 2 RLS) * 3 = 9 RLS
12 p: 9 sc
13 p: (1 sc, UB) * 3 = 6 sc
We sew with a yellow thread with a chain stitch
the front legs in a circle at the sewing site.
We make a seam along the body, but close to
paw.
We cut the thread, leaving the end for sewing, fasten it. We fill and sew on the tail.
Head (lilac, white):
We start knitting in lilac color
1 p: 6 sc in the amigurumi ring
2 p: 6 PR = 12 sc
3 p: (PR, 1 sc) * 6 = 18 sc
4 p: (2 PRS, OL) * 6 = 24 PRS
5 p: (PR, 3 RLS) * 6 = 30 RLS
6 R: 3 RLS, (PR, 4 RLS) * 5, PR, 1 RLS = 36 RLS
7 p: (PR, 11 sc) * 3 = 39 sc
From the next rows, we will begin to knit a white muzzle. Color transitions will try
make it neat, so we carefully monitor how and where the columns fit.
relief. persons. RLS – embossed front column, which we knitted on our paws.
The change of thread takes place at the last
column of the previous color. For instance:
lilac 17 sc, white 5 sc
8 p: lilac: 17 sc, white: 5 embossed. persons. RLS, lilac: 17 RLS = 39 RLS
Since the broaches from the inside will be large, we constantly make sure that the stretched thread is not strongly stretched, otherwise knitting will tighten.
9 p: lilac: 14 sc, white: 3 embossed. persons. RLS, 5 RLS, 3 embossed. persons. RLS,
lilac: 14 sc = 39 sc
10 p: lilac: 12 sc, white: 2 embossed. persons. RLS, 11 RLS, 2 relief. persons. RLS,
lilac: 12 sc = 39 sc
11 r: lilac: 12 sc, white: 15 sc, lilac: 12 sc = 39 sc
12 p: lilac: 13 sc, white: 14 sc, lilac: 12 sc = 39 sc
13 r: lilac: 13 sc, white: PR, 1 sc, pr, 1 sc, pr, 4 sc, pr, 1 sc, pr, 1 sc,
OL, lilac: 12 sc = 45 sc
We mark the underlined columns somehow, this is the front of the head
14 p: lilac: 14 sc, white: 19 sc, lilac: 12 sc = 45 sc
15 r: lilac: 15 sc, white: 17 sc, lilac: 13 sc = 45 sc
16 p: lilac: 16 sc, white: 15 sc, lilac: 14 sc = 45 sc
17 r: lilac: UB, 11 sc, UB, 2 sc, white: 13 sc, lilac: 2 sc, uB, 11 sc
= 42 sc
18 p: lilac: 7 sc, UB, 7 sc, white: 11 sc, lilac: 7 sc, uB, 6 sc = 40 sc
19 p: lilac: 2 sc, (UB, 3 sc) * 2, UB, 2 sc, white: 1 sc, UB, 3 sc, UB, 1 sc,
lilac: 2 sc, (UB, 3 sc) * 2, UB, 1 sc = 32 sc
Cut the white thread, fix it somewhere inside the head. Then we knit only in lilac
color. In the 20th row with the color transition, we will not suffer, we will hide it later with
sewing on the muzzle.
20 p: (UB, 2 sc) * 8 = 24 sc
Turn the head inside out and pull each broach one by one on both sides,
to reduce possible holes in places where the color changes. We turn our head back and
we stuff.
21 p: (1 sc, UB) * 8 = 16 sc
22-24 RR: 16 PRS
We fasten and cut the thread, leaving the end for sewing on the head. If in the “transitions”
muzzles something did not work out or do not like it, you can correct it with the usual
small stitches with white or lilac thread
The head is quite large, so we strengthen the neck.
After 6 rows from the beginning of knitting, insert into
trunk in the middle 2 cotton swabs in
holes between the posts.
And then another 5 pieces in the direction back.
We fill our head well with an emphasis on
cheeks. With your finger we make a depression in the packing in
the middle of the head. We put our head on sticks
and sew (not completely). Required
make sure that the marked center of the muzzle
remained in front when sewing. When
the head will be almost sewn on, we refill
neck around the sticks (conveniently not sharp
scissors) and then we finish sewing.
Collar (softy, light green):
With this thread, everything is “approximately”, tk. no columns are visible. But on the other hand, no mistakes are visible either.
1 p: Around the neck straight along the body we knit ≈ 16 RLS. Customization is not necessary, ± 1-2 sc
permissible.
2 p: we knit another row of RLS, SS according to the selected columns
cut the thread, pull out the tip, remove it
through the next column to the inside of the collar,
we connect with the initial end of the light green thread and
we remove the ends inside knitting.
Muzzle (white):
1 p: 6 sc in the amigurumi ring
2 p: 6 PR = 12 sc
3 p: 1 RLS, PR, 4 RLS, PR, 1 RLS, PR, 2 RLS, PR = 16 RLS
4 p: 1 PRS, PR, 6 PRS, PR, 3 PRS, 2 PR, 2 PRS = 20 PRS
5 p: 1 RLS, PR, 8 RLS, PR, 9 RLS = 22 RLS
6 p: 21 RLS, SS = 22, cut the thread, leaving the end for sewing, fix.
The diagram is located as the muzzle will be sewn, it shows where the end should be
row. The midpoint of the top coincides with the center noted earlier on the head. We make the top more
flat. From the bottom just until the last shift
colors on the head. We fill the muzzle a little,
pin them so that they don’t go anywhere and
we sew. When there is little left
hole, fill it properly, finish
sew.
Hat (emerald, yellow, light green):
We start to knit in emerald color
1 p: 6 sc in the amigurumi ring
2 p: 6 PR = 12 sc
3 p: (PR, 1 sc) * 6 = 18 sc
4 p: (2 PRS, OL) * 6 = 24 PRS
5 p: (PR, 3 RLS) * 6 = 30 RLS, SS, cut the thread, fix
We continue to knit in yellow. We knit the first row with embossed facial RLS.
We attach the thread next to the place where we finished the previous row.
6 p: 30 relief persons. Sc
7 p: 3 RLS, (PR, 4 RLS) * 5, PR, 1 RLS = 36 RLS
8 p: (PR, 11 sc) * 3 = 39 sc
Cut the yellow thread. Then we knit with a light green thread softy. Here the transition is routine
columns, a fluffy thread itself will cover everything.
9-10 RR: 39 PRS
We make a SS, cut the thread, leaving the end for sewing.
We put the unstuffed hat on the dog
head and do not sew on completely.
When a small hole remains, then
we stuff the hat, but not much, it should not
be very convex. Finish
sew.
Nose (black):
For the nose, take a smoother yarn.
1 p: 6 sc in the amigurumi ring
2 p: (OL, 1 RLS) * 2, OL, SS = 9, cut the thread, leaving
end for sewing, fix.
Sew on, stepping back 1 row from the beginning of knitting of the muzzle
up.
Eyes (white), 2 pcs:
For the eyes, we take a thin hook (1.5 or 1.25 mm) and thin yarn.
1 p: 6 sc in the amigurumi ring
2 p: 6 PR = 12 sc
3 r: PR, 1 RLS, PR, 2 RLS, PR, 1 RLS, PR (second column of the increase
knit SS) – incomplete row
We cut the thread, leaving the end for sewing, fasten it.
Where the row was not tied – the lower side of the eye
Sew on so that the inside of the eye is
close to the muzzle, between the eyes ≈ 1.5 columns.
Sew rhinestones inside-below, but stepping back from
the edges of the eye to fit the iris. Sew on
2 stitches with bobbin thread in half, this
enough. With each stitch, the thread is tightly
(but carefully) we pull it so that the straz is denser
adjoined. You can fasten the thread on a black nose,
not visible there.
Blue thin thread (you can floss in 4 additions)
with a seam with small stitches we embroider an iris around the rhinestone. The seam
we do it close, but not close, otherwise the pigtail will go under the rhinestone.
So that the eyes do not merge with the head, we sheathe them in black (or
dark gray) floss in 1 addition (can be bobbin thread)
also with a chain stitch with small stitches.
Ears (pink, white), 2 pcs:
1 p: 2 sc in the amigurumi ring, do not close, we knit in rows back and forth, at the end of each
row we make VP and unfold knitting
2 p: 2 sc
3 r: PR, 1 RLS = 3 RLS
4 p: 3 sc
We tie the resulting part on the sides
RLS with the specified increments, thread
Cut
We knit exactly the same white detail
We fold the details with the wrong side of each
to a friend and, turning the pink side to you,
we tie them together sc, on the tip of the ear
making PR 3in1. Leaving the end for
sewing.
Sew on the ears on the sides on the hat on the border of yellow and
light green flowers. So that the ears stand apart from the base
when sewing, we also grab it along the side loop,
pulling them to your head.
The collar badge can be cut out of felt or a piece of fabric and drawn
look neater. But if you want to knit, we knit:
Collar emblem (emerald):
For the emblem, we take a hook 1.25 – 1.5 mm and a thin thread to match the color of the blouse (in this
variant we divide the main emerald thread in half).
1 p: 6 sc in the amigurumi ring
2 p: PR, 1 RLS, PR 3in1, 1 RLS, PR, 1 RLS = 10 RLS
3 p: 1 PRS, PR, 2 PRS, PR 3in1, 2 PRS, PR, SS – incomplete row
We knit 2 such details. On one we embroider
thin white thread or floss in 3 additions.
Starting from the top, we do sideways and downwards.
chain stitch.
We output the thread a little lower and do more on
stitch to the sides.
We withdraw the thread in the lower corner and do
regular stitch to the top of the emblem.
We tie the ends of the thread from the inside out and
cut off.
We fold the parts with the wrong side to each other and
we tie, connecting them, with a white thin thread. Begin
from a column that is between the ends.
The red indicates what we linked earlier. We tie on
scheme (description) of the 4th row.
1 p: 6 sc in the amigurumi ring
2 p: PR, 1 RLS, PR 3in1, 1 RLS, PR, 1 RLS = 10 RLS
3 p: 1 PRS, PR, 2 PRS, PR 3in1, 2 PRS, PR, SS – incomplete row
4 p: 2 PRS, 2 PR, 3 PRS, PR 3in1, 3 PRS, 2 PR, 1 PRS, SS = 10 PRS
We remove all the ends of the threads inward in the process
binding. We make the last SS in a loop into which
hooked up the first column.
We cut the thread, leaving the long end, and fasten it.
We wrap around the collar with three stitches
(each time grabbing the emblem at the top).
We wrap a couple of times over the emblem so that the stitches do not
diverged. We withdraw the thread through the body below, there
we also grab the emblem with a small stitch and
we fix the thread.
We embroider the mouth with a thin black thread with a chain stitch ≈ 2 rows from the nose.
