I want to give you some informations about this pattern ;

Loya the cow looks great and amazing in claret dress. It will be a fun project to make and a wonderful gift for a friend or for a kid. The size of finished toy is approximately 11 cm (4.3″) without horns.


Yarn: Gazzal Baby Cotton color #3445 (main), #3442 for dress, pink #3411 for muzzle, brown #3455 for horns, YarnArt Etamin white #421 for collar and dress bottom

Hook size: 2.2 mm

Black embroidery floss

Sewing needle and scissors



R = row

mc = magic circle

ch = chain

st = stitch

sc = single crochet

inc = 2 sc in the next stitch

dec = single crochet 2 stitches together

F.o. = finish off

(12) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row

(…)*6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

Arms (make 2)

With beige yarn:

R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)

R 2: (1 sc, inc)*3 (9)

R 3-4: 9 sc (2 rows)

Change to dress color yarn:

R 5-13: 9 sc (9 rows)

Don’t stuff with fiberfill.

Fold top of arm flat and 4 sc through both sides across.


Legs (make 2)

With brown yarn:

R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)

R 2: (inc)*6 (12)

R 3. 12 sc

Change to beige yarn:

R 4-7. 12 sc (4 rows)


Don’t cut the yarn when you will finish the second leg!

From second leg: 5 ch, join to the first leg.

Continue crocheting the body in the round:

Sew ears to the head at the level of R 9.
Sew horns between R 6 and R 7.
Sew muzzle between R 14 and R 19. Put some stuffing inside the muzzle before you finish.
Embroider eyes, eyebrows and nostrils with black floss.
Sew head to the body
