Let’s go for a swim with the hippo! You can make your own swimming hippo with this free crochet pattern. The height of finished amigurumi hippo is about 12 cm (4.7″).

Materials:

  • Yarn: Fibranatura Cotton True Sport (100% cotton, 180 m/50 g)
  • Hook size: 1.5 mm
  • Black beads or safety eyes
  • Sewing needle and scissors
  • Fiberfill

mc = magic circle (magic ring)
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
st = stitch
sl st = slip stitch
