The word Amigurumi comes from Japanese. The Japanese call handicrafts knitted with crochet and needle as Ami. The Japanese call the toys that are filled with objects such as fibers or cotton as Nuigurumi. The word Amigurumi is derived as a combination of these two words.

I want to give you some informations about this pattern ;

The cat is easy to crochet using only basic crochet stitches. Follow this free amigurumi pattern to create your own cute cat using Alize Cotton Gold Hobby yarn.

Materials:

  • Yarn: Alize Cotton Gold Hobby
  • Hook: 2.0 mm
  • Black embroidery floss for eyes, eye brows, nose and whiskers
  • Sewing needle and scissors
  • Fiberfill

Abbreviations:
R = row
mc = magic circle
ch = chain
st = stitch
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
F.o. = finish off
= 12 = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
( )*6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

There is no pattern for the hair band with flowers!

Head
With grey yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in mc (6)
R 2: (inc)*6 (12)
R 3: (1 sc, inc)*6 (18)
R 4: (2 sc, inc)*6 (24)
R 5: (3 sc, inc)*6 (30)

Sew muzzle to the head. Put some stuffing inside the muzzle before you finish.
Sew ears to the head.
Embroider eyes, eye brows, nose and whiskers.

R 3: 8 sc
Change to grey yarn:
R 4-17: 8 sc (14 rows)
Don’t stuff with fiberfill.
Fold top of arm flat and 4 sc through both sides across.

Legs (make 2)
Make 6 ch.
Make an oval starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
