The word Amigurumi comes from Japanese. The Japanese call handicrafts knitted with crochet and needle as Ami. The Japanese call the toys that are filled with objects such as fibers or cotton as Nuigurumi. The word Amigurumi is derived as a combination of these two words.

I want to give you some informations about this pattern;

The size of the finished toy is 17 cm. It is worth considering that each master has his own style and density knitting, so the size of the toy, when using these materials in MK, may differ.

The toy can be knitted from any yarn, but then you need to choose the size yourself hooks for your yarn and all accessories.

Necessary materials:

1. Yarn Camtex Cotton Grass 100g / 220m – 0.5 skeins (main color)

2. Yarn Art Jeans 50m / 160m – a little for the face, handles and legs (optional color)

3. Hook 2.5 mm main

4. Eyes on a secure mount 8-10 mm

5. A little thin wire for the frame in the arms and legs

6. Adhesive plaster for wire wrapping

7. Tweezers or sushi stick to fill small details

8. Filler holofiber

9. Scissors, stitch markers, large needle and strong thread for tightening.

Abbreviations:

KA – Amigurumi ring

PR – increase (2 sc in one loop)

RLS – single crochet

SSN – double crochet

UB – decrease (2 sc with one top)

PSSN – half-column with a crochet

SS – connecting column

VP – air loop

Dec of 3 loops – 3 sb with one top

Hands (2 parts)

Hook 2.5 mm

Start knitting with an additional color

Knit the fingers of your right hand.

Cast on 5 ch, from the 2nd loop from the hook 4cc, dial 5 ch again, with second loop from the hook, 4 sl-st, cast on 5 ch again, from the second loop from the hook 4SS, ch

Now let’s move on to knitting the palm. Insert the hook at the end hole in each finger.

1. 2 sc, inc = (4), ch, turn

2. 4 sc, ch, turn

3. 4 sc + 5 ch, from the 2nd loop from the hook 4sc

Fasten the thread between your index finger and thumb.

Knit the fingers of your left hand.

Cast on 5 ch, from the 2nd loop from the hook 4cc, again cast on 5 ch, from the second loop from the hook, 4 sl-st, again cast on 5 ch, from the second loop from the hook 4cc, ch

Now let’s move on to knitting the palm. Insert the hook into the outermost hole of each finger.

2. 4 sc + 5 ch, from the 2nd loop from the hook 4sc

3. 4 sbn Fasten the thread on the edge of the palm from the side of the little finger

Change the thread to the main, fluffy. Attach it to front wall 3 rows of the base of the palm from the side of the little finger and knit in the front half loops

4. Pr, 3 sbn, turn knitting and knit on the other side 3rd row, 3 sc, inc = (10)

Next, knit up in a spiral the entire length of the arm.

5-24. 10 sc – 20 rows

Fold a thin wire several times and twist into a flagellum. The length of the wire must be

approximately equal to the length of the arm from the wrist. Wrap the wire with a sticky bandage and insert it into your hand.

With tweezers or a sushi stick, lightly stuff your hand. Fold in half and knit 6 sc.

Fasten and cut the thread.

Legs (2 parts)

Hook 2.5 mm

The legs are knitted in the same way as the arms.

Start knitting with an additional color

Knit the toes of your right foot.

3. Inc, 5 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 2 sc = (22)

4. 2 inc, 5 sc, 2 inc, 2 sc, 2 inc, 5 sc, 2 inc, 2 sc = (30)

5-6. 30 sc – 2 rows

Next, we will knit with two colors at the same time. Change threads on fluffy yarn will be indicated in Red color

8. 4 sc, (1 dc, inc from dc) * 5, 1 dc, 19 sb = (39)

Then continue to knit only with fluffy yarn.

10-18. 42 sc – 9 rows

Insert eyes between 7 and 8 side by side at a distance of 4dc each from friend

Close the hole and fasten the thread.

Attach the head to the body, fasten it on the knitting needles and strong sew the thread around.

Utyazhka

– Mark with needles 2 points in the 4th row in the middle under muzzle, at a distance of 1 sc. Take a strong thread and big needle.

– Insert the needle at point 1 under the muzzle and withdraw at point

2, input again at point 3 and output at point 4, again enter at point 5 and withdraw at point 6 under the muzzle.

Repeat the same again, tighten and tie a knot.

Making a muzzle

Mark with needles 3 points for embroidering the spout. The middle point is between 3 and 4 rows muzzles, the other two points are between the 5th and 6th rows of the muzzle, the distance between them about 3 loops. In the same way, mark the location of the eyebrows 1 row above the eyes, length eyebrows about 3 loops.

Next, embroider the nose, eyebrows and eyelids with black acrylic thread.

Ears

Hook 2.5 mm

Knit with additional color.

1. 6 sc in KA

2. 6 pr

Make SS, after 1 sc and fasten the thread, leave end of sewing thread.

Sew ears in row 14 heads, with a few stitches so that they puff up a little.

The sewing edge should be parallel to the eye, on distance of about 8 loops from the eye.

Tail

Hook 2.5 mm

Knit with the main color.

26 ch, from the 2nd loop from the hook, knit:

1. 25 sc – 2 rows

Fasten and cut the thread. sew on ponytail to the body in the 8th row at the back.
